Terms and conditions

Cartio is a free, offline-first grocery list app. These terms cover what you can expect from the app and what we expect from you when you use it.

Section 01

Acceptance of these terms

By installing, opening, or using Cartio (the app), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

Cartio is published by CodeSwift. Throughout this document, "we", "us", and "our" refer to CodeSwift; "you" refers to the person using the app.

Section 02

Eligibility

Cartio is intended for general audiences. You need to be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher. The app is not directed to children under that age, and ads served in the app are configured with a maximum content rating of PG.

Cartio doesn't require an account, sign-up, or any personal information to use.

Section 03

How Cartio works

Cartio is an offline-first shopping list app. You create lists, add items with quantities and prices, organize them by category, and check them off as you shop. When a list is done, you can close it and find it later in closed lists.

The app is free to use and supported by banner advertising. You can permanently remove ads with a one-time in-app purchase called Cartio Pro — see section 07. There is no subscription. There is no free trial that converts to a paid plan.

Section 04

Acceptable use

You agree to use Cartio only for lawful, personal purposes. You won't:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app.
  • Interfere with the app's security, integrity, or availability.
  • Use the app to harass others, infringe rights, or violate any law.
  • Tamper with, click-fraud, block, or manipulate the advertising shown to you while using the free version.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the app without written permission.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use.

Section 05

Your lists and data

Your lists, items, categories, prices, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Cartio doesn't sync your lists to our servers, doesn't host your data in the cloud, and doesn't share it across devices.

Sharing a list

When you share a list, the app formats it as plain text and hands it to your device's share sheet — you choose whether to send it via messages, email, or any other app. Cartio doesn't see, store, or process the shared content.

Backups and deletion

Because your data lives on your device, uninstalling the app or wiping the device deletes your lists. There is no recovery on our side. Your operating system's standard device backups (iCloud, Google) may include the app's local data — that backup belongs to you and is governed by Apple or Google.

In shortNo accounts, no cloud sync, no server-side copy of your lists. Your data, your device.

Section 06

Advertising

The free version of Cartio shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and other information described in Google's advertising policies to deliver and measure ads. We've configured the integration with a maximum content rating of PG and disabled child-directed and under-age-of-consent treatment.

If you don't want ads, you can buy Cartio Pro to remove them — see the next section.

Section 07

Cartio Pro: removing ads

Cartio Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that removes banner ads from the app. It does not add new features beyond ad removal, and it does not auto-renew.

Billing

Pro is sold and billed by Apple's App Store on iOS and Google Play on Android, and processed through our purchases provider (RevenueCat). The price displayed in the app is set by the store for your region and may include taxes. We never see or store your payment details.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by the store you bought from (App Store or Google Play), not by us. We can't issue refunds directly. If a charge looks wrong, contact your store's support, and please also let us know at suporte@codeswift.com.br so we can help.

Restoring on a new device

Pro is tied to the store account you used to buy it (Apple ID or Google account), not to your device. To re-enable Pro after reinstalling or on a new device, sign in to the same store account and tap Restore purchases in Settings.

Availability

The list of available products and prices comes from the stores; we may add, remove, or change products in future versions of the app. Pro entitlements you've already purchased remain valid.

Section 08

Crash reports and feedback

To keep the app stable, Cartio sends crash and error reports to Sentry. These reports include technical details such as the app version, build number, your language and currency setting, the device platform, and a stack trace describing what went wrong. They do not include the contents of your lists.

If you submit feedback through the in-app feedback form, your message is sent to Sentry along with the technical context above so we can act on it. Don't include sensitive personal information in feedback messages.

Section 09

Third-party services

Cartio relies on a small set of third parties to operate. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their portion of the experience:

  • Apple App Store and Google Play — distribution and billing.
  • RevenueCat — processing in-app purchases and entitlements.
  • Google AdMob — banner ads in the free version.
  • Sentry — crash reporting and in-app feedback delivery.

We choose these vendors carefully but don't control them. Where applicable, see our Privacy notice for what data each provider receives.

Section 10

Intellectual property

Cartio, its name, logo, app design, icons, and software are owned by CodeSwift and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These terms don't transfer any of those rights to you.

Feedback you send us about the app is gratefully received and may be used without obligation, attribution, or compensation.

Section 11

Disclaimers

Cartio is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, and statutory — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Cartio is a list app, not a source of nutrition, allergen, dietary, or medical guidance. Item suggestions, categories, and price totals are conveniences, not authoritative information. Always check labels and receipts in store.

We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that crashes, ad-loading issues, or store outages won't happen.

Section 12

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or substitute service costs, even if we've been told such damages are possible.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for Cartio Pro in the 12 months before the claim — or, if you've used the app only for free, to $0.

Section 13

Termination

You can stop using Cartio at any time by uninstalling the app. Doing so removes the app's local data from your device. A previously purchased Cartio Pro entitlement stays attached to your store account and can be restored later from the same account.

We may stop offering the app or specific features in the future. We may also limit or revoke your license if you violate these terms — for example, by attempting to circumvent the ad-supported business model or by tampering with the app.

Section 14

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. The current version is always available at this URL with an Effective date at the top. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

Section 15

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Brazil, except where local consumer-protection laws give you the right to bring a claim where you live.

Before filing anything formal, please email suporte@codeswift.com.br — most issues can be resolved directly.

Section 16

Contact
